Douglas Drive Kitchen update

The clients wanted a more functional, updated kitchen for their family.  The door to the dining room was opened to 5' from 3'  creating a spacious air. Stainless steel appliances and granite countertops complimented the new cherry cabinets. Subtle suede porcelain tile  installed to the ceiling with a glass mosaic created visual backdrop for the new stainless steel hood.   A clean, rectangular island with seating anchored the center of the space with hand blown glass pendant lights.  Recessed ceiling lighting was added.  A  desk was included which could also function as a study area for their 2 preteen children on one side of the kitchen.

Cozy Cabana

The addition of this cozy cabana to the poolside completed the client's desire for a comfortable outdoor living space and an enclosed private guest house. With the large, 9' sliding glass doors, rich high mahogany ceiling and Brazilian green slate floor,   the guests move seamlessly in and out  to the pool.   The loft provides additional sleep space for the family guests while the Timeworn Carrara brick shower creates a feeling of relaxation after a hard day poolside.

Tranquil Master Bath

The goals expressed for the master suite were realized by including the spaces of an adjoining guest bedroom and hall bathroom.  This allowed space for a large, curb less walk-in shower, soaking tub and pocket door to close off the toilet.  The remaining area is a good sized walk-in closet.  Glass block windows and a curved shower wall create privacy while allowing  natural light throughout the room. The client's desire for a relaxing, tranquil feeling room was fulfilled using calming, airy colors revolving around the Cold Springs granite counter and tub deck.  Warm gray walls surround the white 3x6 subway tile with a white tile chair rail frame.  Soft gray porcelain floor tile blends into the Kolher  apron front soaking tub in the color sandbar. Gray and white pebble shower floor tile seal the soothing spa feeling.
