The lake front condo, built in the late 1980’s by the client’s parents, was in need of an update. The location and overall design of the living spaces remained functional. The biggest challange to overcome was blending new with the old oak detailing in the rest of the interior. Replacing aging oak cabinents in the kitchen was the first step. Painted cabinets were introduced to brighten the kitchen. Pendant lighting was added over a new island to bring more light into the kitchen. Solid Oak hardwood flooring was extended into the ajoining dining room and hall visually combining the spaces. New appliances with qranite countertops replaced old outdated. A 4 x 6 light subway tile backsplash with 2 x 4 inset pattern completed the kitchen makeover. New paint throughout freshened the spaces.
