Updating this comfortable home in a beautiful neighborhood involved gutting the kitchen and removing doorways and moving walls to open space between kitchen - laundry room and kitchen-living room . New grey taupe painted cabinets with chocolate glaze were installed thru out the Kitchen and laundry room. The new washer/dryer were stacked and hidden behind a custom cabinet with retractable doors. The living room was refreshed by recarpeted with a contemporary geometric pattern and accented a raised seating area with step lighting and silver screen marble tile. Figured linen with black contrast upholstery on loveseats balanced drapery panels framing the large windows looking out over a secluded landscape arbor. Silhouette shades were installed for light control. The existing grass cloth wallpaper and rosewood wall was enhanced by adding a rosewood stained frame and crown molding around the existing mirror. Ecclectic furniture accents and accessories add a timeless quality to the home.
